Andy Soper
LLB (Admitted 1993)

Experienced, pragmatic and approachable. Andy is the firm’s managing principal. He
advises clients on the sale and purchase of property and businesses, financing and
security arrangements, trusts and estate planning, company arrangements and
governance, and franchises.

Andy is a member of Rotary and Business Network International and is on the board of
the Women of Worth Charitable Trust. He has previously held governance roles with
other educational organisations and charitable entities.

Andy is based in our Porirua office.

Andy’s past experience includes: 

  • Acting for vendor on $7M sale of a group of childcare centres;
  • Acting for a nationwide retirement village operator on the purchase of 9
    retirement villages and its finance, operations, compliance and resident
    ownership arrangements;
  • Advising an insurance broking firm on key-person insurance issues, share buy-
    sell agreement and the sale of the broking business;
  • Acting for a purchase on the takeover of a restaurant business and the transfer of
    the existing intellectual property and premises lease;
  • Advising multi-party property development group on ownership structure and
    completing the sale of the development; and
  • Completing several complex subdivision developments for developer clients.
